XMMO – Day 6: Ready to name

Back from the trip. I’m doing day 6 and then pressing the pause button on the project for a couple of days until I get some materials (graphics,sound).

What did day 6 consist of? More ideas and concepts really. I came up with some strange ideas and concepts for the game. I’d really rather just make a single player game right now and I’ll add on the online parts later. I’m ready to name the game as well. That name being, “The Weirdest Game You’ve Ever Played,” and “The Weirdest Game You’ve Ever Played Online.” The games design and genre is actually mixed. Point and click movement and attack with very strange attributes, especially regarding the intended battle system and town building, buying, and game land expanding system. It’s not a full simulation game nor RPG. This is what makes me want to create this single player version first then work on the online version. I should note the game is an isometric type design. We’ll see. Not sure if I can do it in 20-days now that I’ve come up with so many things. But whatever, if it takes me longer whatever, I really like the ideas I’ve come up with.


Going back to the pause on the game development. I’m going to be working on a scripting language engine. You know, a virtual opcode reader and of course the lex and translator. I’ll make this so that the game can be modded if someone chooses to do so.
