I need someone to start posting…

~(Skip the first two paragraphs if you don’t care about my thoughts)~
…things for me on here. I’ve been doing way to much. I went to sleep (without my sleeping pill), and woke up at 3AM. And the first thought that came to my mind, oddly enough, was, “Go to your site now!” I blatantly agreed with this sudden urge. Though, I did go out and get some water so that I could take my sleeping pill.

Anyways, 3-weeks and this semester is out. How lovely. So, I guess I don’t need someone to post for me. I just need to wait until the 3-weeks are over, then party (or some stupid sounding thing like that).

Why did I post this? I actually was thinking, I’ll go over One Week Hero more. Its been developing more and more as ideas come to mind. So, while we intended to release it quickly and update it weekly, if we do this carefully, we can pull off this game really well.

So, time to go over the game (this is unreleased on any other site right now).

1. Classes & Party

Similar to the Final Fantasy I, for this game we have chosen to allow the player to start out choosing their own party. The initial classes that start from week 1 are, Sellsword, Heretic, Shaman, Rouge, Minstrel, and Ronin.

While this initial release will not likely allow you to change your character’s graphics. It will probably be implemented in later versions when the number of sprites increase.

2. The Week System
There’s no picture to go with describing this. The week system is the system for the game that will slowly unlock the land increasing the number of areas. If you update weekly, the game will unlock and unfold as the story is goes on. Though, it is planned that a mode called Week Mode will be implemented later to unfold the story in a week mode like state by waiting for you to finish the quest(s) in chronological order.

3. The Quest System
This, truly undeveloped, system will consist of pretty simple, “Do this, go there, get that,” RPG logic. While it is intended to be written into the game later, it’s using simple switches to determine either completed, or, uncompleted state of things.

…and more to come later. My sleeping pills are severely kicking in.

One Week Hero, coming out in the next week (likely tomorrow-ish). Its planned to be a weekly updated game that slowly raises the level cap. Has completely open-end gameplay and non-sequitur quests and storyline. For now, 6-classes and a level cap of 5. Starter Town and Week One Town and Dungeon. And the following weeks will add more towns, dugeons, quests, and items. Will there be an end? Yes, 20 weeks from now, maybe.

When was this project conceived? 5-months ago.
When was it started? 3-days ago.
Is it really going to be released like you say it will? Yes
Which RPG Maker was used? RPG Maker VX
Does it use custom scripts? A few from various people, including my own.
Does it use non-RTP graphics? Not at the moment.
Will it use non-RTP graphics? Yes, in-fact, it will.
Save files will continue over week-after-week? Yes
How will updates work? Via an installer I’ll make, week-after-week. Which means, make sure you get all of the updates. But, I will release complete packs every few weeks.
Is this game being advertised in other places because NRG’s Organization is a Google rating attention whore? Yes, yes it is.
This game is free? Of course. Even though we legally have a license for RPG Maker VX. We don’t feel that we would make much money off of a 2D RPG game. Thanks to the stupid kids of today who understand nothing about games. Only want 3D shoot-em-up, repetitive, AAA games.
Do you like pancakes? Shh, no one needs to know.

However, I’m quite busy still. So I’ve no time to add anything. But, I’m going to turn to my brother and ask him if he wants to start adding things. Then it’ll possibly increase my Google site rankings, and then magic! Or something along those mad scientist-esque lines.

Instead of doing videos, because I have a rather hard time attempting to teach live. I’ll just make some visual tutorials right now, and my brother may make videos based on those. I’ll put one out every week and see how that does. The first one will probably be in a week, or sooner I guess if I work at it quickly when I’m free.

Making a game with RPG Maker VX from A to Z

Well, uh, I want to up my site ranking. *cough* as usual *cough* So I’m going to make some video tutorials on making a game with RPG Maker VX and attempting to explain it, etc. I will probably put them on youtube, because youtube = rank 3 = lots of people = some people coming to my site and possibly staying.

With that said, Youtube has been awfully slow lately. Bandwidth must be getting heavy on them. And no, don’t try to tell me, oh, it’s your computer and internet connection. It’s not, it’s Youtube. You see, my computer is only 1 month old and it has 6-cores at 2.8GHz and I just downloaded a 1GB file yesterday in 10-minutes. On the other hand, the 1080p 5-minute video from Youtube took its sweet time loading for over 9 minutes. So…god damn it Youtube, you’re owned by Google. So Google, get your act together and put out more money for the bandwidth.
